Join Me in Creating a World Free of Multiple Sclerosis

I'm proud to be a team member and recruitment coordinator for MS Team FedEx member. Our goal this year is to raise $50,000 by September 10th when we will kick off the 2011 FedEx "Rock-N-Roll" Bike MS Ride. The FedEx MS Team will take off on a bike ride, traveling the rolling hills of Mississippi between the Desoto Civic Center and Tunica Mississippi, then back again; a total of 150 miles in one weekend!

Please support me, the FedEx MS team and the Mid South Chapter of the National MS Society through a tax-deductible donation. This is the our key fund raising effort to help Mid-Southerners with MS and support the incredible research that is underway to create a world free of MS.

What is Multiple Sclerosis?
MS is a disease where one's own immune system attacks healthy nerve cells, creating irreversible damage with life-altering impacts. No one knows what causes this disease and there is no cure. Symptoms are different for each individual and may come and go or last forever.

  • Most common early symptoms: tingling, numbness, loss of balance, weakness in one or more limbs, and blurred or double vision.
  • Less common symptoms may include: slurred speech, sudden onset of paralysis, lack of coordination, problems with thinking and processing information.

Why we need your support:
The Mid-South Chapter of the National MS Society helps over 8,400 people throughout Tennessee, northern Georgia, northern Mississippi and eastern Arkansas impacted by MS, moving their lives forward in the following ways:
  • Moving research forward by relentlessly pursuing prevention, treatment and cure.
  • Moving through reach out programs that provide comprehensive support services and educational programs to people with MS, their family and friends.
  • Moving politicians and legislation to champion the needs of people with MS through activism, advocacy and influence.
  • Moving to mobilize the millions of people who want to do something about MS now.

How you can support the Movement:
There are so many ways to make a difference in the fight against MS, and it all begins right here.
